I am now within my second month as part of the JW Media team
and have done my fair share of music searches. I have been lucky enough to work
on a variety of projects including trailers, documentaries and adverts. Along
the way there have been certain tracks from our catalogue that have really
stood out to me as having something special. Below is a playlist of my top
picks from the MyDrive catalogue along with a little info about why I picked
them. Enjoy!
Hope For The Future (ALL057) – All Sorts music
I like the inspirational feel of this track. I especially
like the strings towards the end. I think it could be great for a sporting
event or over a sports montage.
Love Never Ends (JW2243) – JW Media Music
One from our fantastic ‘Pop Drum & Bass’ album. An
emotive and driving track with a great use of brass and vocals throughout. Sure
to be a popular placement this summer.
Hyperbolic (THH24) – The Hit House
An ominous track filled with dread and drama. Perfect for a
Sci-fi or Horror movie trailer. The last 30s is real nail biting stuff.
Long Goodbye (BBX222) – Beatbox
A beautiful piano and string piece from Beatbox’s ‘Absolute
Beauty’ album. A great track with all the romance and drama you could need. I
think this could be perfect for TV dramas or trailers.
Run Rhythm Run (CTRX010) – Cinetrax
An intense and aggressive percussion track. I really love
the way the track slowly builds into a frenetic and tribal drum battle. Perfect
for an action adventure trailer or film.
Call To Arms (BBX218) – Beatbox
A mix of sampled vocals and heavy military style drums. The
track features some great sections and builds that would be great for editing.
I could see this working on sport broadcasts or Sci-fi movie trailers.
Ascending Chaos (GWX008) – Grooveworx
A dark and intense intro filled with heavy percussive hits
and sound design elements that suddenly bursts into a heavy hitting drum beat.
I think this could be perfect for a fast paced action sequence.
How We Ride (BOM008)– Blazed out Music
A Hip-Hop track from Blazed Outs ‘West Coast Rap’ album. I
really like the beat and sampled strings on this.
Hot And Heavy (FG035)
– Figure And Groove
An upbeat, feel-good track with funky bass, guitar and
synths. Again, a great summer track with a real party/festival feel.
Undiscovered (NT051) –
Ninja Tracks
This is a track from the new album ‘Elemental’ by Ninja
Tracks. Its epic use of brass and strings make it perfect for trailers.
